CAPE CHARLES, VA - The Sea Gull Fishing Pier, located on the southernmost island of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and approximately 3.5 miles from the Virginia Beach shoreline, will be closed to all fishermen in order to make necessary renovations.  The closure will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2007 and remain closed through Sunday, May 13, 2007.  The fishing pier is anticipated to reopen to the public at 7 p.m. on the evening of May 13, 2007.  The Sea Gull Pier Restaurant and Gift Shop will remain open to the public daily from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.  For further inquiries, please contact the CBBT at (757) 331-2960.
