The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel  awarded a project for the repair of the Fender System of North Channel Bridge, Southbound Piers 9 and 10, to W. F. Magann Corporation of Portsmouth, Virginia in the amount of $498,639 in the fall of 2010.

This project  focused on the repair of the existing fender system that was originally installed under the direction of Trellex Morse, now Trelleborg.  This project generally consisted of replacing protective panels, support chains and associated hardware.  In addition, a portion of the structure had a protective coating applied.

This project was complete in the early spring of 2011.
