CAPE CHARLES, VA – The Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel was recently featured in Materials Performance, a magazine that is published by NACE International, an organization recognized worldwide as the premier authority for corrosion control solutions.

The Bridge-Tunnel was featured in the January 2008 edition, Volume 47, No. 1, in an article entitled "Jackets Wrap Bridge Piles with Cathodic Protection," by Kathy Riggs Larsen.  The feature article describes the District's efforts to repair the cylinder piles and protect them from further corrosion.
