CAPE CHARLES, VA –The Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel District will host a series of public information meetings for the purpose of informing the public about the Environmental Assessment for the Thimble Shoal Channel Parallel Tunnel. This assessment will consider the impacts of constructing an additional tunnel within the existing Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel corridor.

Meetings will be held on:

Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 5-7 pm
Lake Wright Sleep Inn
6280 Northampton Boulevard, Norfolk, VA.
Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5-7 pm
Northampton High School
16041 Courthouse Road, Eastville, VA.
The meetings will be an open forum-style with no formal presentations being made. Attendees are welcome any time between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Opportunities will be available to provide written public comments to the CBBT Commission at this time.

Members of the public that cannot attend the meeting but wish to submit a comment can do so through July 14, 2014 via mail to Robert E.
