The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel  awarded a project for the placement of rip-rap revetment at Fisherman Island and Wise Point to W. F. Magann Corporation of Portsmouth, Virginia in the amount of $522,909 in the fall of 2010.

This project was the result of erosion that occurred at both Fisherman Island and Wise Point and included a small area of access road reconstruction in the Wise Point area.  Rip rap revetment consisted of a Carthage 4%-HD geotextile, Course Aggregate Virginia #1 Stone and Dry Rip Rap, Class II.  All work was limited to the area landward of Mean Low Water.
