  • When traveling north on I-95, what exit do I take to get to the Hampton Roads area and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel?

On I-95 North, take exit 11A at Emporia, VA.  This is Route 58 East which will lead to I-64 West.  From I-64, take exit #282, Northampton Boulevard (Route 13 North) which leads directly to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.

  • When traveling on I-64, what exit do I take to get to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel?

Take exit #282, Northampton Boulevard (Route 13 North),  off I-64.  Northampton Boulevard will take you directly to the South Toll Plaza (approximately 5 miles).

  • When traveling south on I-95, how do I reach the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel?

From I-95 South in Delaware, take DE-1 South via Exit 4A toward Christiana/Mall Road (portions toll).  Merge onto US 13 South via exit 97 toward Salisbury/Norfolk and follow US 13 South to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.

PREFERRED ALTERNATE ROUTE:  Travelers may want to consider using US Route 113 in lieu of US Route 13.  Though US Route 113 is 1.8 miles longer than US Route 13 in distance, it  has only 19 stoplights along the way as opposed to 35.  For a map highlighting each route, click here.
